Wine
 Wine from Nebraska?
Yes!! In the early 1900's there were over 5,000 acres of grapes
under cultivation. Prohibition, drought and late freezes took their
toll on the grape industry. Currently there are 14 wineries and well
over 300 acres of grapes.
The varieties of
grapes are not the same as you will find on the west coast or
overseas. Special plants have been grown that will withstand
Nebraska's heat, cold, and our prairie winds. Some of them are:
Edelweiss, DeChaunac, Seyal, LaCrosse and St. Croix with more being
developed.
Many of the wineries
are new and are still developing the volume necessary to be able to
distribute to places other than their own tasting rooms. From

The second Saturday of
each month we have a different Nebraska winery in the shop and offer free wine tasting
from 4-7 pm. The
winery usually brings in 4-6 different wines and
gives you a good opportunity to try the wines without driving to the
winery. The list of the wineries and the dates they will be in our
store is below.

Because vintages for selected wines
from the wineries are limited, we invite you fill out the form below
(or call us at 1-800-399-5693) selecting a wine type. We will
then contact you and help you choose from the wines currently
available. Most wines are priced from $15-$20. For wine purchases,
we add an additional $3.25 to our normal shipping charge for UPS
adult signature confirmation. Wines must be signed for at delivery
by a person at least 21 years of age.
We can currently ship wine to: Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri,
Nebraska New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Washington DC, West Virginia,
Wisconsin.
